Pursuant to Executive order no. 26, the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) implemented the National Greening Program (NGP). NGP is a reforestation program that aspires to plant 1.5 billion trees in 1.5 million hectares of land from 2011-2016. Various strategies such as social mobilization, harmonization of initiatives, monitoring and database management, and provision of incentives were adopted in the implementation of NGP to ensure widespread success.
The Province of Aurora established a total of 6,643 hectares of plantations distributed in CENRO Casiguran and CENRO Dingalan.
CELPA, Inc. was engaged to conduct the third-party performance evaluation to conduct field validation, survival rate assessment, monitoring, and evaluation of established plantation of ENGP.
